“ They have great croissants and coffee. I really enjoyed this sparking lemon lime water. Great spot for a coffee dates with friends for a quick catch up or even for a lunch. ”
“ This is my gem of the city. This place has a cafe, deli, bakery, and trinkets all in one and it has the bustling exciting european city feel. They do it so efficiently and food comes out quick and warm. seating is outside and beautiful on sunny days. The bakery here is one of my favorite ever in the world. The cakes/tarts are also some of the prettiest/most aesthetic looking things you'll ever eat. I could come bakc day after day and week after week to try everything. Their deli/brunch is also so good and is a very filling meal. My mom swears by their orange juice as well which is juiced fresh right in front of ya. Brought my mom and fiance here for a brunch : D ”
“ This is a little slice of Europe right here in Newport Beach. A bakery and coffee shop that has taken over a strip mall near Jamboree and Bristol. Lot's of tables outside with bakery, coffee, and deli inside. This is a true find in Orange County. When you step inside, you not only smell the most delicious baked goods, you hear French spoken between the employees. My favorite part of this place is the have created an outdoor environment with tables, fountains, and patrons meeting and talking outside. It is all about the atmosphere. It is artistic, creative, and beautifully done. I vote it as one of favorite places to relax and enjoy a coffee. ”
“ To a certain extent this place achieves for French food what Eataly does for Italian food, lol. There's a cafe, a deli, a bakery, and a small retail shop all rolled up into one space. They seem to do it very efficiently and they've done it for years. I actually been here about 10 years ago, but recently visited with a buddy of mine when I was in the area. The service seemed to be really friendly at the different areas that I went to. On the recent visit, I didn't do a sit down meal, but I grabbed some baked goods as well as some small items from the retail area. The baked goods were amazing and I enjoyed the French products I purchased the tin fish and had it for lunch at a later time along with some baguette and butter. All the food just looked really good and I can remember correctly when I actually did have a sit down meal here years ago. I thought it was great. This place has been around for such a long time and it's always busy for a reason. I'm a fan. ”
“ I had never been to this place and met up with a friend and was so pleased with the options they had. They have plenty of seating outside which feels cozy and open. I got a cafe au lait with a chocolate almond croissant and wow. I would go back just for that combination. A good cafe au lait is hard to find in orange county and they got it spot on. Their service was friendly and the line went quick. I love that the store had authentic foods to also buy on the side, it gave me World Market vibes. I definitely recommend it. ”
“ Authentic French restaurant cafe bakery all in one. All of the staff seem French with nice accents. You feel like you're in Paris. Even the music is French. The food is high quality yet I didn't care for it. The ham is organic yet very dry and removes moisture from the rest of the dish. This applies to the Benedict, the Crepe Complete, and any other dish using the ham. I also wish they had potatoes. Instead everything comes with a side salad. And the side salad is fairly plain with just a light coating of a basic vinaigrette. I also tried the L'Omelette Paysanne with bacon and cheese. It was fine. Interestingly that Omelette comes with potatoes inside, yet you can't get them on the side, not with that dish now with any other breakfast dish. The bread does not even come toasted! The Nutella Crepe was excellent however. And the coffee was excellent. ”
“ The original bakery had both amazing pastries as well as sandwiches made to order. There're plenty of outdoor tables and great ambiance. I had the French flan (who knew!) and it was excellent! Very smooth and just the right sweetness. I also had almond croissant which was very tasty and flaky. The service was quick and friendly. I'll be back to try more stuff! ”
“ Ok after coming back to Moulin with friends over the years, this are my quick tips! * croissants from the bakery are a must * the baguette sandwiches (especially the paté) slaps and I will forever enjoy it every time * avoid popular meal times as the parking lot gets chaotic real quick. There have been times where there is absolutely no parking ”
“ I've been meaning to try this place for a while now and it definitely met expectations! It's a nice pick up and go or order and dine type of place. There's plenty of seating outside as well! You order from the counter and then they give you a number to set on a table for the food to be brought out. The person at the cashier was so nice and patient on explaining the process as well! I ordered the Le croque madame (which comes with a side of salad) and it was so so good and fresh! I did take a look at the pastries which looked good as well but didn't order any :) will definitely be back to try some more food on the menu and maybe one of their baked goods next time. ”
“ I can't believe I haven't reviewed this Moulin yet. I probably thought I did so never bothered to check. First of all, this place is awesome! I visit here as often as I can and always if I'm in the area. If I miss them for breakfast or lunch, I visit their sister restaurant next door, Bouillon, for dinner. While it's almost always busy, the staff is always so cheerful and helpful. I usually know what I want so I can go through quickly, but it's always good to see if they have something special in the salad or hot entrée areas. The café is laid out perfectly with several order counters depending on what you want to eat or drink. It's brightly lit with a lot of French flare and merchandise all around. I usually grab a baguette sandwich, a beet salad, iced tea and a chocolate almond croissant. The perfect lunch! I always visit the little bakery area too and buy myself treats to take home. ”
